Aromatherapy and Sunburn

Hey Sweeties!

I thought I’d give you some tips for the sun. It’s best to wear a hat with a big brim – like a straw hat or Akubra hat (cowboy hat). Not very sexy for the ladies, but better to have nice skin, right?

Keep the sunblock on, particularly the face, neck and shoulders. Always, drink lots of water!

If you do happen to get sun burnt, you can mix some lavender, geranium and, of course, peppermint, to help alleviate.

I would say, in 15ml of base oil, 6 drops lavender, 3 geramium, 2 peppermint. The peppermint is strong (but cooling!) and because of that the dosage needs to be low.

For the base oil, choose something that you like. For me, I would choose coconut oil (because it’s liquid in this weather!) and/or rosehip oil. If you can get pure vitamin E, in oil form, you can add some drops of that as well. The skin loves vitamin E.

So that’s my tip for the day to you all. Looking forward to sharing lots as we go along!

Love You Darlings!
